Lumidex Studio · last updated 19 July 2026
Lumidex Studio is a photo-management app that runs entirely on your Mac. It has no analytics, no tracking, no advertising, and no telemetry. Your catalogue and your photos never leave your computer.
What we don’t collect
We do not collect, store, or transmit your photos, catalogue, keywords, edits, metadata, usage patterns, crash reports, or any personal profile. There is no account to create and no usage data sent anywhere.
The one time the app goes online
To keep your licence valid, Lumidex Studio contacts our licence server at activation and then about once a month to renew a signed licence token. Each of those requests sends only:
- a one-way hash of your Mac’s hardware id (we never receive or store the raw id), and
- your licence key.
Nothing else — no name, no email, no photo data. As with any web request your IP address is transiently visible to our host to route the response; we do not log it to a profile or use it for tracking. If the server is unreachable, a paid copy keeps working.
Purchases
Payments are handled by Paddle, our Merchant of Record. When you buy a licence, Paddle (not us) processes your payment and collects any billing details and tax information it needs; your card details are never seen by Lumidex Studio. We receive a licence record and the email address Paddle associates with the sale so we can send you your licence key. See Paddle’s privacy policy for how they handle payment data.
If you email support, we use your message and address only to reply. We don’t add you to any marketing list.
Your photos
Your images and catalogue stay on your Mac and on any storage you connect (local disks, network shares). Lumidex Studio never uploads them.
Changes
If this policy changes we’ll update the date above. Material changes will be noted on this page.
