Keyboard shortcuts

Changing a shortcut§

Most single-key shortcuts can be changed. Open Lumidex Studio ▸ Preferences… ▸ Keyboard (or Help ▸ Keyboard Shortcuts…), click a key on the keyboard picture to see what it does and assign a different key. Menu shortcuts that use ⌘ are fixed. The tables below show the defaults.

Modules and navigation§

D	Switch to Develop
⌥G	Switch to Grading
⌥⌘1 / ⌥⌘2 / ⌥⌘3 / ⌥⌘4 / ⌥⌘5	Go to Library, Capture, Develop, Grading or Print
⌘[ / ⌘]	Go Back / Go Forward through the places you have visited (folders, collections, keywords)
⌘← / ⌘→	Previous / next selected photo
← / →	Previous / next photo (in Develop, moves along the filmstrip)
↑ / ↓	Previous / next row in the grid
Esc	Dismiss a panel or cancel the current mode

Viewing photos§

G	Grid
E	Loupe (one photo, full window)
Space	Toggle the Loupe on and off
C	Compare (two or more photos selected)
N	Survey (two or more photos selected)
F	Image full screen
`	Show or hide the filmstrip
I	Show or hide the info panel
Tab	Show or hide the side panels
T	Show or hide the bottom toolbar
L	Lights Out: dims everything but the photos, then blacks it out, then back to normal
- / =	Smaller / bigger thumbnails (Library grid)
⌘J	View Options

Flags, ratings and colour labels§

P	Flag as Pick
X	Flag as Reject
U	Remove the flag
1 / 2 / 3 / 4 / 5	Set a one- to five-star rating
[ / ]	Lower / raise the rating by one star
6 / 7 / 8 / 9	Red, yellow, green or blue colour label
0	Grey colour label
Caps Lock	Auto Advance: move to the next photo after each flag, rating or label
⌘⌫	Delete rejected photos (asks whether to use this folder or the whole catalogue)

Selecting photos§

⌘A	Select all
⌘D	Select none
⇧⌘D	Select only the active photo
/	Deselect the active photo
⌥⌘A	Select flagged photos
⌥⇧⌘D	Deselect unflagged photos

Library, collections and stacks§

B	Add to or remove from the Quick Collection
⌘B	Show the Quick Collection

J	Clipping overlay: blown highlights in red, crushed shadows in blue
O	Show or hide the selected mask as a coloured overlay
H	Hide or show adjustment pins (mask handles, spot and red-eye circles)
⇧H	Switch the selected mask off and on, for a quick before and after
⌘] / ⌘[	Grow / shrink the selected mask
⌘+ / ⌘-	Zoom in / out
Esc	Cancel crop
⇧⌘C	Copy develop settings
