Help & app menu

Where to find help and licence information, plus the app menu — updates, your licence, preferences, catalog settings and watermarks.

Help menu

Open-Source Licenses… lists the open-source components Lumidex Studio is built on, with their licences.

Note

You're reading the online documentation now — the full guide lives here at lumidexstudio.app/help, so it's always current and searchable.

App menu (Lumidex Studio ▸ …)

The menu under the app's name holds the standard macOS items plus a few of its own:

  • About Lumidex Studio — the version you're running (useful when reporting an issue).
  • Check for Updates… — see whether a newer version is available and install it. Updates are included free for 12 months from purchase; after that, the version you own keeps working.
  • Preferences… (⌘,) — all app settings: General, External Editing, Network (NAS keep-alive), Keyboard, and more.
  • License… — enter or review your licence key, see the Macs it's active on, and free up a seat when you move to a new Mac. See Licensing & activation.
  • Catalog Settings… — catalogue info, optimisation and automatic backups.
  • Edit Watermarks… — create and edit the watermarks used on export and in print.

Several Help-menu items are placeholders for now: What's New…, Lumidex Studio Help… and Tutorial… (which will open these pages directly), System Info…, Provide Feedback…, and Keyboard Shortcuts…. The app-menu Identity Plate Setup… is also a placeholder.
